Elizabeth Ware

As a lifelong Garrett County resident and outdoor enthusiast, Elizabeth offers a comprehensive knowledge of local real estate and the Deep Creek Lake lifestyle. Having grown up immersed in the four-season spirit, she brings a true love for the area and passion for adventure to her career. Elizabeth is an accomplished academic, athlete, and musician. Her strong leadership skills, unbeatable work ethic, determination, and goal-oriented personality has garnered her many awards and provides a broad background. Aside from her tenacious drive, you'll find a kind spirit and caring personality. Going the extra mile is all she knows!

Elizabeth was valedictorian of her class at Northern Garrett High School and graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, College Park. During her time at UMD, she participated in the Mighty Sound of Maryland marching band as a saxophone player and section leader. She was voted by her peers and marching band directors to lead the 350-member UMD Marching Band as Drum Major in 2015 and 2016 at UMD. After graduating from UMD, she spent time in Oregon working for Americorps with the Bureau of Land Management. After obtaining her Master’s Degree, she worked as an educator before transitioning into real estate. 

The transition to real estate and business was a natural progression as her mother, Kellyann Green, Associate Broker at Railey Realty, has 30 years in the business. Adding to that, her father, Steve Green, owns and operates High Mountain Sports on the shores of Deep Creek Lake. 

In addition to real estate, she loves living the Deep Creek Lake lifestyle and is an avid and accomplished skier, runner, and wakeboarder and enjoys all the outdoors activities Garrett County offers. Growing up as a ski racer, she was a member of the local Deep Creek Winter Sports team where she qualified for national races and has won the local Governors Cup race on multiple occasions. She currently shares her knowledge and time as a Ski Race Coach with the local Deep Creek Winter Sports Team mentoring the next generation of Wisp ski team and junior ski racers.  

Elizabeth lives locally with her daughter May and husband Lee, and they enjoy being outside and living the lake life. Aside from outdoor activities and sports, Elizabeth enjoys playing with the local musicians in the Garrett County community band and singing in the Garrett County choral society.
